The 309 room tower will revitalize a forgotten area of Waikiki by extending the vibrant and lush commercial streetscape along Kalakaua Avenue onto the Ewa end of Kuhio Avenue. The hotel includes three restaurants, pool, spa and fitness facilities and street level commercial space as well as parking and back of house / supportive spaces. The project massing is composed of a 7 story tower podium and an 8th floor open-air, sky lobby, all of which support the hotel tower above. The tower itself is defined by its two unique primary façades: the residential, ocean-facing ‘Makai’ side and the mountain-facing ‘Mauka’ side, along Kuhio Avenue. The Mauka façade is composed of three slender, rectangular towers that are stitched together with glazed corridors. The Makai façade is more fluid and is broken into three tiers that are woven together with vertical fins.
